New parking rates at Honolulu Airport increase on July 1
The rate for parking between six to seven hours will increase from $23 to $24, the rate for parking between seven to eight hours will increase from $25 to $27 and the rate for parking eight hours or more (including overnight parking) will increase from $27 to $29. There is a free 15-minute grace period for drivers dropping off or picking up passengers.
Kaʻahumanu Avenue to be closed for parade on Saturday, June 20
The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation notifies Maui drivers and riders that Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) will be closed in both directions between Lunalilo Street and Kahului Beach Road (Route 3400) from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, for the 2026 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade.
Intermittent holds of traffic on Hāna Highway for bridge work at Mokulehua Stream, June 1-5
Work will be conducted underneath the Mokulehua Stream Bridge at mile marker 28 on Hāna Highway (Route 36). There will be intermittent holds of traffic of around five minutes during the work, which is scheduled from Monday, June 1 to Friday, June 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Lane closures on Puʻunēnē Avenue for striping work, May 26-29
One lane of Puʻunēnē will be closed between Wākea Avenue and Kūihelani Highway from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for striping work.

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation is notifying the public of single lane closures on and along Puʻunēnē Avenue next week for installation of traffic signal detectors. All work will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nightly single-lane closures are scheduled at the roundabout on Piʻilani Highway, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, from Sunday, May 3 to Tuesday, May 5. The last closure will reopen at 5 a.m., Tuesday, May 5.
