Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center announces Receiving Day for Impressions & Imprints
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center invites artists to submit work for Impressions & Imprints, a juried exhibition bringing together artists working in printmaking, metalsmithing, and ceramics. Online registration will be open from May 12–19, 2026, with Artwork Receiving Day taking place on Tuesday, May 19, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center in Makawao.
Mālama Wao Akua 2025 Juried Art Exhibition celebrates the Native Species of Maui Nui
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center, in partnership with East Maui Watershed Partnership, presents Mālama Wao Akua 2025, a juried art exhibition on view from Sept. 12 to Nov. 7, 2025. Ian Walsh Foundation awards $3,000 scholarships to 10 student athletes
The Ian Walsh Menehune Mayhem Foundation has awarded $3,000 scholarships to 10 outstanding student athletes for their college or university expenses. Baldwin-Maui High team wins top prize in 2025 ‘Imi Pono Challenge
Baldwin High’s Jada Gomes and Maui High’s Hina Wells teamed up to capture the top prize in the fourth ʻImi Pono Challenge with their community service and media campaign centering on the Challenge’s theme of “Cultivating Care: Caring for Your Islands, Caring for Yourself.”
Hui Noʻeau presents solo exhibitions showcasing two Maui artists
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center is unveiling two concurrent solo exhibits by Maui artists Sachelle Dae and Zenobia Lakdawalla as part of the organization’s Solo Artist Exhibition series. An opening reception will take place at the Hui on Friday, March 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibitions will be on display from March 22 to May 17.

Hui Noʻeau & East Maui Watershed Partnership Present Mālama Wao Akua 2023
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center in collaboration with East Maui Watershed Partnership hosts the 19th annual Mālama Wao Akua – a juried art exhibition celebrating the native species of Maui Nui. This special exhibition will be on display in the Hui’s gallery space now through Nov. 3. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. with free admission.
