Maui Health hosted a virtual community town hall on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. HST. Several members of the Maui Health team answered questions from the community via Facebook Live.

Maui Health identified additional positive COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of infections at the facility since Aug. 12, to 66.  Total infections over the past two weeks include 31 patients and 35 health care workers.

Maui Health identified two additional positive COVID-19 patients on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections at the facility since last week Thursday, Aug. 13, to 47.  Total infections over the past eight days include 26 patients and 21 health care workers.  

Maui Health today confirmed nine more COVID-19 positive cases, bringing the total cases since Thursday at the Maui facility to 45.  This includes 24 patients and 21 health care workers.   

The number of COVID-19 cases at the Maui Memorial Medical Center has risen to 28 as of noon today.  Maui Health confirmed that there are 17 health care workers and 11 patients at Maui Memorial Medical Center who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Maui Mayor Michael Victorino shares more details about the cluster of COVID-19 positive cases at Maui Health that he announced earlier today.  He also shares more about the County’s efforts to control, expedite testing, and prevent further spread of the virus.  

Maui Health released a statement this afternoon following an earlier press conference this morning in which Maui Mayor Michael Victorino confirmed a cluster of around 15 COVID-19 positive cases among Maui Health employees.
