Motorists are advised to exercise additional caution during the 46th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk Maui, taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at 8 a.m. in Central Maui. 

The Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation is now accepting applicants for its annual Presidential Scholarship. Multiple scholarships will be awarded to students applying to, accepted, or currently attending college, university, or trade school. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2025.

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association has distributed a total of $1,559,449 to 59 nonprofit beneficiaries of the Maui County Charity Walk.  

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association celebrated its 45th year of giving back to the community with the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk on Saturday. Nearly 1,600 walkers attended the in-person event at the War Memorial Complex. Walkers finished 2.5 miles of exercise and received complimentary breakfast, treats, giveaway prizes, and local entertainment, including a performance by Tihati Productions. An impressive total of $1,235,482 was raised so far from Maui County. 

“Maui nonprofits are a needed support system for our communities,” says Lisa Paulson, Executive Director of the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association. “With the hardships of the recent wildfires, it was crucial to make this hard-earned money available to them immediately.”

Maui Hotel & Lodging Association continues another year in supporting Maui County seniors by hosting the upcoming event, the Spring Nā Kupuna Appreciation Event on Friday, April 21, 2023.

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association announced the selection of Michael Pye as chair of the 2023 Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk. Pye is the Regional Vice President at Fairmont Hawai’i and General Manager of Fairmont Kea Lani Maui. He will oversee Maui County Charity Walks that include Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi communities, scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Maui.

The Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk distributed $1.203 million in funds to 60 local nonprofit organizations in a ceremony at the Maui Beach Hotel on Monday morning. The funds were generated through the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk which was held in a virtual format for the first time this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Applications for the 2021 Presidential Scholarship Fund by the Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation are now being accepted. College-bound students are encouraged to apply for academic scholarships valued at $1,000 to $2,500. The deadline to apply is March 31.

A total of 62 Maui County students were selected as scholarship recipients of the Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation Presidential Scholarship Fund. The academic scholarships were awarded to deserving high school seniors aspiring to pursue higher education.

Rabang is the General Manager of The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas and will oversee the Charity Walks held on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.

Yamazaki is the General Manager of The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and will oversee the Charity Walks held on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.

The 40th Annual Visitor Industry Charity broke records across the state and exceeded its $1 million goal for a third year by reaching an impressive $1,422,535.

More than 3,500 walkers raised more than $1.35 million at the 40th anniversary event hosted by the MHLA, bringing Maui County’s grand total to $1.4 million.
