A total of 18 individuals were arrested in Maui County during a warrant sweep conducted in partnership with the US Marshals Service. The interagency crackdown was conducted between Jan. 9-11, 2023, and was done in partnership with the Maui Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit, Special Response Team, and the US Marshals Service.

Maui police arrested a 47-year-old Hoʻolehua man on Molokaʻi following a traffic stop on Saturday that resulted in the initiation of a narcotic investigation.

A police investigation revealed that one of the 15-year-olds was in possession of a modified handgun that discharges blank rounds and narcotics. Further investigation revealed the presence of a second modified gun that was left at the scene, which investigators were able to recover.

For the second time in less than a week, and the ninth time this year, Maui Police officers administered NARCAN (naloxone) on a patient exhibiting symptoms consistent with an opioid overdose.

A 41-year-old Lahaina man was arrested and released following a traffic stop in West Maui last weekend in which police recovered 100 grams of crystal meth and thousands of dollars in cash. #MauiNow

The Narcotics Enforcement Division will never ask for personal information or solicit payment over the phone.

Vice Division Narcotics Unit officers executed search warrants on Bronsen Rodrigues, 33, at his residence in Haʻikū. His bail was set at $150,000, cash only.

Two people, 31 year old Kapua Harrell and 35 year old Sherron Falces, were both arrested for multiple narcotics offenses.
