World Ocean Day celebration set for June 8
Maui Ocean Center will celebrate World Ocean Day with family-friendly activities including live music, educational stations and marine naturalist presentations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8.
Maui Ocean Center to host monthly sleepovers, starting Feb. 28
Children ages 7 to 12 and their chaperones are invited to “Sleep in the Deep” at the aquarium’s 750,000-gallon Open Ocean exhibit. The sleepover includes a bedtime movie with snacks in the Makai Theater along with a continental breakfast and a private showing of the “Humpbacks of Hawai‘i” 3D film the following morning.

Coral Spawning Night at the Maui Ocean Center, July 6
Maui Ocean Center hosts its annual Coral Spawning Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Guests will have the chance to witness the phenomenon of coral spawning, and can also learn about pioneering coral research currently underway.
Kama‘āina receive $10 admission for World Ocean Day
World Ocean Day is held each year on June 8 to “help unite and rally the world to protect and restore our blue planet.” Maui Ocean Center will celebrate World Ocean Day with family-friendly activities including live music, art projects and marine naturalist presentations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Discounted admission for kama‘āina, with valid Hawaiʻi state ID, is $10 per person (ages 3 and younger are free).
Earth Night at the Maui Ocean Center, April 20
The Maui Ocean Center hosts its first-ever “Earth Night” event on Saturday, April 20, from 6-9 p.m. Festivities feature an evening of eco-friendly activities and entertainment for the whole family.
