Road users are advised that Puʻunēnē Avenue (Route 3500) will be closed overnight Dec. 8-12 for work between Papa Avenue and Kūihelani Highway (Route 380).

Motorists are advised that all lanes on Puʻunēnē Avenue (Route 3500), between Papa Avenue and Kūihelani Highway (Route 380) will be closed nightly beginning, Monday, Sept. 8 for utility crossing and pavement reconstruction work.

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies highway users that there will be different lane shifts on South Puʻunēnē Avenue (Route 3500) from Tuesday, Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 22, for road resurfacing work.

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting road work this week that will result in lane closures at various locations. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation advises highway users that lanes will be closed at the Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) and Papa Avenue intersection for traffic signal work from 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 until 6 a.m., Friday, Nov. 15.

The state Department of Transportation has announced Maui road work projects through Friday, Nov. 15.

DWS reports a water service outage in Kahului on S. Papa Ave. between Kea Street and Lalani Circle, including Kunu Place and Hone Street. The service outage is due to a main line repair and affects 30 homes and seven fire hydrants. Work started at 8:30 a.m., and is expected to run until 11:30 a.m. today.

Kahului motorists are advised to drive with caution during the replacement of a traffic signal pole at the intersection of Papa Ave. and Onehee St. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. 

Kea Street – between Papa Avenue and Holua Drive – will be closed from 7 a.m .to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 for the 10th Bayanihan Food Distribution at Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.
