The County of Maui issued an after storm assessment, providing an updated list of park closures, adjustments to trash collection schedules, and the reopening of the Central Maui Landfill and other facilities.

Due to personnel shortage, curbside trash collections in Haʻikū have been rescheduled for pickup to Monday, Dec. 5, the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management announced. Trash was not collected today in the affected areas.

Curbside trash collections have been rescheduled for pickup to Tuesday, March 15, in Pāʻia, due to a personnel shortage.

Flooding and heavy rains delayed collection of trash in areas of Haʻikū this morning, the Department of Environmental Management announced. Trash will be collected for affected residents on Wednesday, March 10.

The Central Maui Landfill reopens today, July 28, and refuse pickup will have adjusted schedules for Maui customers following Hurricane Douglas.

Affected areas include Makawao Avenue, Baldwin Avenue, Nakui Street, Puana Street, Pahala Street, Maohu Street, Keʻe Road, Olinda Road, Piʻikea Road and all surrounding streets and roads.
