Hawai‘i public high school seniors graduating in 2026 with an interest in tourism management can apply for the Hawai‘i Tourism Ho‘oilina Scholarship, a four-year scholarship providing $12,000 a year toward a Bachelor of Science in travel industry management at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Shidler College of Business.

Six graduate programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa have been ranked among the top 50 in the nation, with 10 more in the top 100, according to US News & World Report’s 2025 Best Graduate Schools rankings released April 8.

All three of University of Hawaiʻi’s four-year universities earned high marks in the US News and World Report 2025 Best Colleges rankings released on Tuesday, including three top-five rankings for UH West Oʻahu, a top-10 national ranking for UH Hilo and UH Mānoa, and a top-20 national ranking for the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business’ international business program.

Two graduate programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa are in the nation’s top 25, and an additional 11 programs are in the top 100, according to the 2024 US News and World Report’s Best Graduate Schools rankings, released Tuesday.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is highly ranked in the world in a variety of subject areas, including oceanography, atmospheric sciences and travel industry management, according to two premier comprehensive subject rankings.

In recognition of his $5 million donation, the new Residences for Innovative Student Entrepreneurs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa will be renamed the Walter Dods Jr. RISE Center.
