From April 14 to May 26, 2025, customers at participating Hele stations can donate at checkout to help fund training and competitions for athletes with intellectual disabilities at no cost to them or their families.

Volunteer, off-duty, law enforcement officers are set to take their community spirit to new heights during Special Olympics Hawaiʻi’s annual Badges and Buckets fundraiser throughout the month of September.

O‘ahu’s Melanie Shim, MD, and Maui’s Felicitas Livaudais, MD, were both recognized for their outstanding volunteer activities that improve community health and wellness.

In the state of Hawaiʻi, $76,644 was raised for Special Olympics Hawaiʻi. This included funds raised by Jersey Mike’s franchises in Wailuku (Maui Lani Shopping Center) and Kahului (Pu‘unēnē Shopping Center) during the month of March.

Placing an order in the month of March benefits Special Olympics Hawaiʻi, enabling the organization to offer year-round sports training, competition and health, wellness, and leadership initiatives for more than 3,400 athletes across the state with intellectual disabilities.

Par Hawaiʻi’s Fueling Dreams campaign is hitting the road to raise awareness for thousands of Hawaii’s athletes. From April 19 through May 31, island drivers can make a donation to Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes when they make a pit stop at 34 participating Hele stores across Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi Island and Maui.
