17 Vehicle Break-ins on Maui April 1 to 7, 2012

The incidents included the break-in of three vehicles in Lahaina; two incidents each in Kahului, Paia, Pukalani, and Wailea; and single incidents in Haiku, Kaanapali, Kapalua, Kihei, Maalaea and Spreckelsville. The break-ins involved (3) Nissan, (3) Dodge, (2) Jeep, (2) Toyota, (1) Hyundai, (1) Kia, (1) Mazda, (1) Chevy, (1) Chevy, (1) Honda, (1) Cadillac, and (1) Ford vehicle.

16 Maui Burglaries Reported Mar. 25 to 31, 2012

There were four incidents in Waiehu, three in Kihei, two in Lahaina, and single incidents reported in Haiku, Kahului, Kaunakakai, Makawao, Napili, Paia, and Wailea.

11 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Mar. 25 to 31, 2012

The incidents include six thefts in Kahului, three in Kihei, and one each in Kula and Waihee. Vehicles stolen included: (4) Honda Accords, (2) mopeds, (1) motorcycle, (1) Chevy Tahoe, (1) Nissan Rouge, (1) Jeep Wrangler, and (1) Ford Escort. Three of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

The incidents included the break-in of two vehicles each in Kahului and Lahaina, as well as incidents in Kula, Paia, and Pukalani. The break-ins involved (1) Dodge Caravan, (1) Lexus sedan, (1) Honda Civic, (1) Nissan Frontier, (1) Ford Ranger, and (1) Toyota Tacoma.

Public Help Sought in Kapalua Bay Property Theft

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of property from a parked vehicle in Kapalua.

Maui Humane Society Offers Reward in Kennel Arson Case

The Maui Humane Society is now offering a growing $1500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) involved in a suspected arson on Sunday that killed 12 dogs in a Waikapu kennel.

The incidents include two thefts from a single residence in Haiku, and single incidents in Kahului, and Lahaina. All four vehicles have been recovered.

Paia ATM Photos Released in Credit Card Theft Investigation

Crime Stoppers alleges that the subject depicted in surveillance photos, withdrew cash from an ATM machine in Paia using a stolen bank card earlier this month.

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual wanted for the alleged theft of several expensive sunglasses from two different Maui retailers.

The incidents include three thefts in Kahului, and single incidents in Kaanapali, Kihei, Lahaina, and Paia. Vehicles stolen included (3) Hondas–a sedan, a dirt bike and a Prelude; (1) Dodge Caravan, (1) Genuine Scooter Co. moped, (1) Ford Festiva, and (1) Kawasaki motorcycle.

The incidents included the break-in of five construction vehicles in Lahaina. There were also two vehicle break-ins in Haiku, two in Kahului, and various other incidents across the island. The break-ins involved (3) Jeeps, (3) Fords, (4) Caterpillar tractors, and a variety of other vehicles.

There were four incidents in Haiku, and two incidents each in Kihei, Napili, and Kaanapali. There were also single incidents reported in Hoolehua on Molokai, Kahului, and Paia.

Alleged Attempted Use of Stolen Credit at Kahului Walmart

The allegations stem from an October 2, 2011 incident in which authorities say the three persons entered the Walmart store in Kahului and attempted to purchase items with a stolen credit card. According to authorities, the credit card was stolen from a Wailuku home.

There were two incidents each in Waiehu, Lahaina and Kaanapali; and a variety of other incidents throughout the county. Four of the incidents involved forced entry.

The incidents were reported in Kaanapali, Kahului, Kula, Makawao, Waiehu, and Wailuku. Vehicles stolen included (1) Honda Civic, (1) Hyundai sedan, (1) Ford Escape, (1) Honda moped, and (1) Ford pickup truck.

The incidents included three break-ins in Lahaina, and various other incidents across the island. The break-ins involved (3) Jeep and (3) Nissan vehicles, as well as (1) backhoe, (1) Chevy, and (1) Dodge.

5 Maui Burglaries Reported Feb. 26 to Mar. 3, 2012

Maui police responded to 5 residential burglaries over a seven day period, between February 26 and March 3, 2012. That’s a decline of the 12 incidents reported the week before. Two of the incidents were on Molokai. The Maui incidents were reported in Lahaina, Paia, and Wailea.

The incidents were reported in Kahului, Kihei, Napili and Wailuku. Vehicles stolen included (1) Mercury Van; (2) mopeds; and (1) Dodge Nitro. A single vehicle was recovered.
