Fraudulent Use of Credit Card in Kihei Investigated

Authorities say an unidentified female used a stolen credit card to withdraw funds from the First Hawaiian Bank ATM on Lipoa Street in Kihei during an incident on April 11, 2012.

Man Wanted For Questioning in Sail Theft at Maalaea Harbor

The public’s help is sought in locating Angel Augusto, 32, wanted for questioning regarding the theft of sails from a vehicle at Maalaea Harbor.

There were four incidents in Kahului, three in Kula, two in Wailuku, and one incident each in Kihei, Maalaea, Napili, Waiehu and Wailea.

The incidents included the break-in of four vehicles each in Kihei and Lahaina; two incidents each in Kahului and Maalaea; and single incidents in Kapalua, Napili, Paia, Pukalani, Wailea, Lahaina, and Wailuku.

Maui police responded to 19 residential burglaries over a seven day period, between April 1 and 7, 2012. There were five incidents in Haiku, three in Kihei, four in Waiehu, and two incidents each in Kahului and Napili.

The break-ins involved (3) Nissan, (3) Dodge, (2) Jeep, (2) Toyota, (1) Hyundai, (1) Kia, (1) Mazda, (1) Chevy, (1) Chevy, (1) Honda, (1) Cadillac, and (1) Ford vehicle.

There were four incidents in Waiehu, three in Kihei, two in Lahaina, and single incidents reported in Haiku, Kahului, Kaunakakai, Makawao, Napili, Paia, and Wailea.

The incidents include six thefts in Kahului, three in Kihei, and one each in Kula and Waihee. Vehicles stolen included: (4) Honda Accords, (2) mopeds, (1) motorcycle, (1) Chevy Tahoe, (1) Nissan Rouge, (1) Jeep Wrangler, and (1) Ford Escort. Three of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of property from a parked vehicle in Kapalua.

The incidents included the break-in of five construction vehicles in Lahaina. There were also two vehicle break-ins in Haiku, two in Kahului, and various other incidents across the island. The break-ins involved (3) Jeeps, (3) Fords, (4) Caterpillar tractors, and a variety of other vehicles.
