All public schools and Hawaiʻi State Department of Education offices will be open today, Thursday, Sept. 13 except for Kilohana Elementary in Kaunakakai on Molokaʻi.

All public schools and Hawaiʻi DOE offices in Maui County will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 12, and afterschool activities remain canceled for Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.

The Hawaiʻi Dept of Transportation is preparing for potential impacts to state routes on Maui and is focusing on pre-staging plans for Hāna Hwy ahead of Olivia.
