The Kīhei Charter School has announced its 8th Annual Hawaiian Lūʻau benefit fundraiser for the school’s athletic programs. The lūʻau takes place on Saturday, April 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the charter school campus located at 650 Līpoa Pkwy., mauka of the Piʻilani Highway.

The 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a is set for Saturday, June 21, 2025, and invites the community to take part in the annual celebration. The festivities return to Central Maui, with a parade along Ka‘ahumanu Avenue followed by a ho‘olaule‘a at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center.

Hawaiian Electric will continue to use unmanned aircraft, or drones, for aerial inspections of its infrastructure in various areas of Upcountry Maui on weekdays throughout the month of April, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. The legislation would provide a total of $1 billion over four years for Impact Aid Construction Grants to address the backlog of facility needs at federally impacted school districts.
