28-inch ball python snake found in Kahaluʻu, turned in to Honolulu Zoo
A live ball python was turned in to the Honolulu Zoo on Wednesday afternoon under the state’s Amnesty Program. State officials say the snake was dropped off by a person who requested to remain anonymous and only indicated that the snake was found in Kahaluʻu.

Wreckage recovered from downed medical flight in deep waters off East Maui
The flight crew and the majority of the wreckage from the Hawaiʻi Life Flight was recovered on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from an area in the ocean about 6,420 feet deep. This was about 1,200 feet south of the last data point received from the missing aircraft, according to the NTSB.

FAA computer outage results in several delayed departures at Kahului Airport
