2022 State High School Track & Field Champs honored by Maui Council
Joseph Randolph and Justin Kahalewai of Baldwin High School, Kaimana Cantere of Maui High, and Kaylee Volner of Seabury won individual titles at the 2022 Island Movers/Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association State Track and Field Championships. They were recognized with a ceremonial resolution before the Maui County Council.
DLNR: No good options for homeowners and the public on Oʻahu’s North Shore
“We allege that none of the permit holders at Paumalu have complied with all the conditions of their permits. Their permits have expired, and the sandbag structures have become de facto seawalls that are putting the future of the beach at risk,” said Michael Cain administrator of the DLNR Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands.

Maui Planning Department seeks applicants to fill 22% vacancy
The department has 82 full-time employee positions and one part-time position. Six positions were newly funded in the Fiscal Year 2023 budget and have not been filled. There are 12 other vacant staff positions.

Boy Scout Camp shooting investigation complete, boy’s death believed to be accidental
