A Maui-based bike shop plans to donate 50 bikes to Hāna kids at its giveaway at the Hāna Farmers Market Field on July 18 starting 9 a.m.

Severe drought triggers call for water conservation in Maui County

The National Weather Service reports extreme drought on Maui in the lower leeward slopes of Haleakalā between Māʻalaea and Wailea, and severe drought in Maui’s Central Valley and Upcountry. On Molokaʻi, severe drought worsened to extreme drought on the west side of the island. Lānaʻi has severe drought over most areas.

The individual is an adult Oʻahu resident who had close contact with the first probable case. The individual presented with symptoms consistent with monkeypox.

The Click It or Ticket, national seat belt awareness campaign netted 270 seatbelt violations and 217 violations for using a mobile electronic device while driving. There were also citations issued for other violations.
