South Maui’s Kīhei Charter School has been added to the list of Grab & Go Meal pickup sites for children 18 years of age and under. Breakfast and lunch meal service is available at the location starting today, Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Hawaiʻi Sea Spirits llc, makers of OCEAN Organic Vodka, is devoting some of its production to make hand sanitizer to help combat the spread of coronavirus. The effort is made possible in partnership with other local companies including: Maui Babe, Mokulele Airlines, the Maui Food Bank, and Ali‘i Kula Lavender.

During the​ ​extended Spring Break period​, a total of 38 Hawaiʻi public schools will be providing breakfast and lunch to children who are 18 years or younger. They will be able to stop by one of the designated schools (see list below) to pick up a grab-and-go meal. Adults who come to pick up a meal must be accompanied by their child.

Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation in cooperation with many of its partners, will replace its Localicious campaign over the next few weeks with a campaign to support all Hawaiʻi restaurants who are open for takeout and delivery during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Breakfast is available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and dinner is available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education will be implementing the​ ​Seamless Summer Option program​ a few months earlier than scheduled, as approved by the United States Department of Agriculture and Hawaiʻi Child Nutrition Programs.

Honolulu Mayor Caldwell, along with Aloha Beer owner Steve Sombrero announced Friday a coalition of catering and food truck operators will deliver free meals to Hawaiʻi’s kūpuna on Oʻahu during this COVID-19 period.

The business is offering curbside, contact-free delivery (in addition to restaurant take out) of their full menu. Interested customers can call the restaurant at (808) 214-5106 to place their orders.

SixtyTwo MarcKet in Wailuku announced March 19 that it will begin offering takeout and curbside pickup for all its menu items. The owner of Fleetwoodʻs on Front St. announced today that the restaurant is now closed in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, but is hoping to reopen in less than two weeks. 

As a precautionary measure, effective immediately and until further notice A Saigon Café will only offer to-go service to customers. Dine-in, walk-in dining and bar service has also been temporarily suspended until further notice.
