Maui small businesses hit by this summer’s wildfires are getting financial support to participate in this year’s Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival, happening on Nov. 3 and 4, 2023 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Maui Food Technology Center participated in the 96th annual Tokyo International Gift Show, marking an increase in Hawaiʻi’s presence at the event and showcasing a range of Hawaiʻi-made products.

In a significant decision aimed at amplifying the voices of the people of Maui, the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement has chosen to relocate its highly anticipated 22nd Annual Native Hawaiian Convention from Oʻahu to Maui. Maui County small farmers and ranchers can apply for grants of up to $25,000 through the Agricultural Micro Grant Program 4.0, a $3 million initiative funded by Maui County and administered by Maui Economic Opportunity’s Business Development Center.

In the wake of the wildfires that devastated South Maui, the festival this year contributed $58.2K from ticket and t-shirt sales, as well as direct donations, to the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund. Vendors together donated approximately a quarter million dollars to Maui wildfire relief efforts.
