Liliʻuokalani Long Distance Outrigger Canoe Races, Sept. 3-7
More than 2,500 outrigger canoe paddlers will travel to Kona to participate in the signature 18-mile long distance race between Kailua Bay and Honaunau.

Maui Takes Batting Champ Crown at PONY Mustang World Series
At the conclusion of the championship game between Corpus Christi, TX and Chesterfield, VA (TX won 15-11), Maui All-Star Levi Maddela was crowned Batting Champ of the 2015 PONY Mustang World Series. Maddela hit .818 with 6 HRs, 11 RBIs and 8 runs scored. In the West Zone tournament, Maddela hit .642 with 1 HR (grand slam), 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Mustang Maui All Stars Advance to PONY Mustang World Series
With the win, the 2015 Mustang Maui All Star team is the first team ever from Maui to win the PONY Western Zone Championship and advance to the PONY Mustang World Series, which will be held in Youngsville, LA, from Aug. 6-9, 2015.

Kāʻanapali Golf Courses in Lahaina on Maui and Puakea Golf Course in Līhue on Kauaʻi are offering an annual “Juniors Play Free” program, good for rounds until August 31, 2015. The free play or ride passes are being offered to junior golfers from age seven to 17 who are accompanied by a paying adult.
