391 Hawai‘i Health Care Providers to Receive Nearly $37M In Federal COVID-19 Relief
A total of 391 health care providers in Hawai‘i will receive a combined $36,994,939 in federal funding to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and continue providing health care for families across the state.

Maui County Enacts Historic Bill Prohibiting Non-Mineral Sunscreens
Bill 135 was introduced by Maui County Councilmember Kelly Takaya King, and was signed into law as Ordinance 5306 by Maui Mayor Michael Victorino on Dec. 6. It will take effect on Oct. 1, 2022.

The percentage of burglary cases decreased 9% from the week before when 11 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts decreased 31% from the week before when 13 incidents were reported. Vehicle break-ins increased 71% from the week before when seven incidents were reported.
