Maui Restaurants: List of Maui Restaurants Offering Outdoor Dining For All
Maui County’s “Safer Outside” program takes effect today, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021. Under the new rules, restaurants are required to ask patrons 12 years and older proof of vaccination for indoor dining. Unvaccinated patrons must be served only in outdoor dining areas, takeout or drive-thru service.
Mayor’s Office Offers Clarification on New Maui County Public Health Emergency Rules
“For clarification, bars, restaurants, gyms, fitness centers and other “high risk” businesses may operate at 50% capacity indoors, provided that all customers 12 years of age and older provide proof of full vaccination,” according to the Mayor’s office.

Kalama Park Waterline Repairs, Sept. 21-22
Water servicing public restrooms, showers and water fountains located within the Old Kalama Park (south of the whale structure) will be shut off for repairs to the main waterline on Sept. 21 and 22, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced.

NOAA Awards $7.3 Million for Marine Debris Removal, Prevention, Research
NOAA announced $7.3 million in fiscal year 2021 grants supporting 25 projects to address the harmful effects of marine debris on wildlife, navigation safety, ecosystem health and the economy. With the addition of non-federal matching contributions, the total investment in these marine debris projects is approximately $14.7 million.
