Webinars Scheduled for Coffee Growers on Possible Fungicide Use

Maui Crime March 21-27, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts
The percentage of burglary cases decreased 40 percent from the week before when 10 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts decreased 50 percent from the week before when four incidents were reported. Vehicle break-ins decreased 30 percent from the week before when 10 incidents were reported.

March 30, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 71 Cases (45 O‘ahu, 12 Maui, 6 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Kaua‘i, 7 Out-of-State)
The state Department of Health reports that there were 71 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Tuesday, including 45 on O‘ahu, 12 on Maui, six on Hawai‘i Island one on Kaua‘i, and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state. There were a total of 1,110 cases logged over the past two weeks, 345 of them in Maui County.

$11 Million in Economic Coronavirus Relief for 5 Airports in Maui County
The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation Airports Division has received authorization for $11,098,912 in Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations for five airports in Maui County. It’s part of a larger $46.3 million appropriation for a dozen airports across the state.

To date the Maui Police Department has issued 359 citations for Distracted Driving compared to 329 citations issued this same time last year. In CY 2020 MPD issued a total of 1730 distracted driving citations.
Seabury Hall Closes Early Today for COVID-19 Contact Tracing
The Seabury Hall school in Makawao closed its campus early today to allow for contact tracing after administrators were notified this morning of a positive COVID-19 case.
