Dec. 11, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 189 New Cases, 8 Deaths
Of today’s 189 cases, there were 159 cases identified as confirmed, and +30 probable cases were added to the count. The confirmed cases included: 115 on O‘ahu (+19 probable); eight on Hawai‘i Island (+2 probable); 10 on Maui (+7 probable); 15 on Kaua‘i; seven on Moloka‘i; and four Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state (+2 probable).
Dec. 8, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 72 New Cases, 6 Deaths
Of today’s 72 cases, there were 60 cases identified as confirmed, and +12 probable cases were added to the count. The confirmed cases included: 44 on O‘ahu (+7 probable); four on Hawai‘i Island (+4 probable); seven on Maui (+1 probable); five on Kaua‘i; and four Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state.
Sept. 22, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 330 New Cases in Hawai‘i, 12 Deaths
There were 330 additional COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Wednesday. The latest data represents a total of 7,106 “active” cases over two weeks.

There were seven deaths linked to COVID-19 in Hawai‘i today, marking the deadliest day for the state since the pandemic began. There were 133 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 107 on O‘ahu, one on Maui and 24 on Hawai‘i Island and one resident out of state.

There were 200 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 174 on O‘ahu, four on Maui and 22 on Hawai‘i Island. There was also one more death linked to COVID-19 on O‘ahu, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 63. Maui has four additional cases for a cumulative total of 334.

There were 310 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 263 on O‘ahu, seven on Maui, 39 on Hawai‘i Island and one on Kaua‘i. There were also three more deaths linked to COVID-19, bringing the state total since the pandemic began to 62. The deaths include three on O‘ahu. Maui has seven additional cases for a cumulative total of 330.
265 New COVID-19 Cases (233 O‘ahu, 6 Maui, 26 Hawai‘i Island); 4 More Deaths (3 O‘ahu, 1 Maui)
There were 265 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today including 233 on O‘ahu, six on Maui, and 26 on Hawai‘i Island. Maui has six additional cases for a cumulative total of 324. Clusters on Maui include at least 27 cases at the Roselani Place assisted living facility and 66 associated with the Maui Memorial Medical Center.
BREAKING: Pre-Travel COVID-19 Testing Program for Trans-Pacific Visitors Delayed to Oct. 1 at the Earliest
Governor David Ige this afternoon announced a delay in the start of the state’s pre-travel testing program to October 1, 2020. This pushes the perviously announced Sept. 1 date to October 1, 2020 at the earliest. Gov. Ige said he will continue to monitor key markets on the mainland and here in Hawaiʻi.

The state has reported another triple digit increase in new COVID-19 cases with 174 new cases today including 163 on Oʻahu, nine on Maui and two on Hawaiʻi Island. Of the 235 cases in Maui County, at least 161 have been released from isolation, and 30 have required hospitalization. Based on the current numbers, there are 68 active cases in Maui County.

As of noon today, Maui Health has confirmed that it has one health care worker and two patients at Maui Memorial Medical Center who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Two O‘ahu men, both over 60-years-old are the latest COVID-19 related deaths reported in Hawai‘i. There are a total of 355 newly diagnosed cases today, a record single day case count since the beginning of the pandemic. This includes 85 cases that are part of a cluster at the O‘ahu Community Correctional Center facility. Today’s case count includes 343 cases on O‘ahu, seven on Maui, four on Hawai‘i Island and one on Kaua‘i.

The state has reported another triple digit increase in new COVID-19 cases with 202 new cases today including 197 on Oʻahu, two each on Kaua‘i and Hawai‘i Island, and one on Maui. There were also four deaths on the island of Oʻahu.
Two More COVID-19 Deaths in Hawai‘i, Both Elderly O‘ahu Residents
Two O‘ahu residents are the 28th and 29th casualties of COVID-19 in Hawai‘i. The cases include: An elderly female, with underlying medical conditions, had been a resident at a Pearl City nursing home, but then was hospitalized. An elderly man, also with underlying health issues, was also in the hospital when he died.
Hawai‘i Reports 15th COVID-19 Death
An O‘ahu man, over the age of 65, with underlying health conditions passed away last night. He had been in the hospital since early March and his infection was presumed to be community associated. To date, there are 15 COVID-19 related deaths in Hawai‘i–10 on O‘ahu and five on Maui.
