Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center announces Receiving Day for Impressions & Imprints
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center invites artists to submit work for Impressions & Imprints, a juried exhibition bringing together artists working in printmaking, metalsmithing, and ceramics. Online registration will be open from May 12–19, 2026, with Artwork Receiving Day taking place on Tuesday, May 19, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center in Makawao.

Parade entries now open for the 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade

Day 2 of Lahaina Festival features mākeke and entertainment by Kulāiwi and Kalani Peʻa
Day 2 of the Lahaina Festival takes place today (Nov. 25) with a pop-up mākeke featuring dozens of vendors from 3 to 9 p.m.; and entertainment tonight with Kulāiwi at 6 p.m., and Kalani Pe‘a featuring Hālau Ke‘alakahinano o Puna at 7 p.m. The event is presented by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, in partnership with the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority and the Hawai‘i Community Foundation at the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows. The celebration of music, culture, and community supports Maui’s resilient spirit and coincides with the Maui Invitational college basketball tournament.

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, in conjunction with the University of Hawai‘i and County of Maui’s Office of Economic Development, invites the Maui community to Kinipōpō Hīna‘i ma Pukalani, ‘Bows vs. Silverswords, to be held on Nov. 1 and 2 on Maui. Maui visitor arrivals up a year after wildfires, but still not at pre-disaster levels
Maui visitor arrivals were up almost 80% in August, compared with a year earlier, the month when the Maui wildfires struck Aug. 8-9. But visitor travel to the Valley Isle still lags behind what it was before the disaster, according to a monthly report by the Hawaiʻi Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism.
