The Second Circuit courthouse Hoapili Hale is closed (as of 10 a.m. today) due to a temporary interruption of water service to the building. Court operations are anticipated to resume at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 20, 2025.

A Second Maui Judiciary Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
The Hawaiʻi State Judiciary confirmed a second positive COVID-19 case involving an employee at Hoapili Hale on Maui. There are now 12 confirmed positive cases for Judiciary employees statewide including: nine on Oʻahu, two on Maui, and one on Hawaiʻi island.

A Hoapili Hale (Maui) employee, who was asymptomatic and took the test as a requirement for a new job, last worked on Aug. 31 and received a positive test result that night. The person has worked in the courtroom, always wearing a mask and adhering to CDC guidelines.
Court Entry Restrictions Modified on Maui to Keep Judiciary Personnel Safe
Effective Aug. 11 through Aug. 31, “No one shall enter Judiciary facilities in the Second, Third, and Fifth Circuits if they have traveled in the past 14 days, or have traveled inter-island to the Second, Third, or Fifth Circuits on or after Aug. 11, 2020, and 14 days has not passed since such travel.”
Second Circuit Court Expands Self-Help Center Hours
Starting today, hours at Maui’s second circuit court self-help center expand. The center located at Hoapili Hale in Wailuku will be open Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Previously it was open only on Thursdays.

The Second Circuit Court, Hoapili Hale, is closed (as of noon today) due to a sewage water leak. Maintenance crews have shut off all water to the building and clean-up efforts are underway.
