Mālama Wao Akua (Caring for the Realm of the Gods) returns this fall, inviting Maui artists to celebrate the native plants, animals, and watersheds of Maui Nui through art.

Hui No‘eau’s Solo Artist Exhibition 2026: Jane Mount & Michelle Schwengel-Regala is on view now through May 15, 2026. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center is pleased to announce its Annual Juried Exhibition, on view Jan. 16 through Feb. 20. This prestigious annual exhibition celebrates the diverse and dynamic talents of artists from Maui and beyond, showcasing an inspiring range of work in all media.

For its fifth year in a row, Imua Family Services is once again hosting its annual Keiki Halloween Festival. The family-friendly fun runs from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. This free community celebration is designed especially for children ages eight and under and promises to be an evening packed with Halloween magic.

Artists are invited to explore Maui watersheds and use their creative talents to raise awareness about the importance of protecting native species.

This special dinner aims to celebrate and support two organizations: Maui Nui Botanical Gardens and Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center. Each will be recognized for their efforts in nurturing connections to Hawaiʻi’s natural ecosystems through artistic expression and stewardship of native species.

The Hoʻoikaika Partnership, a coalition of more than 75 organizations and individuals, will host a series of community events this month to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect prevention in Maui County.

Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center proudly presents “Sally French: Welcome to My World’” a retrospective exhibition highlighting the prolific and influential career of celebrated Kauaʻi artist Sally French. The exhibition will be on display from March 21 to May 16, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, March 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center is offering a new opportunity for Maui County high school juniors and seniors: Ka Ulana ʻIe Maui Junior Cohort with Kumulāʻau and Haunani Sing. Ka Ulana ‘Ie Maui Junior Cohort will engage up to 20 Maui County high school students in a 3-month intensive ulana ‘ie cohort.

In April 2024, sculptor and architect Matthias Neumann created an 8 x 8 x 11 foot sculpture on the front lawn of the Makawao Public Library inspired by the story of Hui Mo‘olelo participant Kim Thayer of Mauna Kahālāwai Watershed Partnership and Scott Fisher, Director of ʻĀina Stewardship at Hawai’i Land Trust.

Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center is seeking experienced Teaching Artists to support a wide range of arts programs for youth and adults; including arts outreach serving keiki and families in Lahaina.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center’s annual Hui Holidays shopping event returns from Nov. 18 through Dec. 24, 2022. Hui Holidays will feature unique gifts from over 70 local artists and vendors.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center presents the 2022 Annual Juried Exhibition, on display through Feb. 18, 2022, the exhibition features works by 50 artists from Maui and across the state.
