The AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch reports that gas prices are experiencing a slight decline in most cities. The statewide average price for regular unleaded is $4.59, which is one cent less than last week and 18 cents lower than a year ago. The national average gas price is $3.15, which is four cents less than last week. 

Hawaiʻi gas prices moved up slightly in most areas over the past week, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch. The statewide average price for regular unleaded is $4.60, one cent higher than last week and 18 cents lower than a year ago. The national average gas price is $3.19, two cents lower than last week.

The statewide average price for regular unleaded is $4.71, which is one cent lower than last week. The national average gas price is $3.50, which is five cents higher than last week.

In Kahului, the average price of $4.76 is five cents lower than last week, the same as last month and 30 cents lower than a year ago.

Hawaiʻi gas prices remained stable for a third straight week. In Kahului own Maui, the average price of $4.85 is the same as last week, one cent lower than last month and 52 cents lower than a year ago.

In Kahului, the average price of $5.04 is one cent lower than last week, 17 cents lower than last month and 52 cents higher than a year ago.

“Hawaiʻi has moved from having the sixth most expensive gas in the US to the third most expensive after dramatic gas price drops in West Coast states brought all of them lower than Hawaiʻi’s average price except for Alaska and California,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaiʻi general manager.

In Kahului, the average price is $3.48, which is two cents less than last week, two cents lower than last month, and 36 cents lower than on this date a year ago.

Hawaiʻi gas prices continued their stable pattern as oil prices dropped back to their lowest levels in a month following no further military action to date between the US and Iran, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi

In Kahului on Maui, the average price today is $3.83, which is the same as last Thursday, also the same as a month ago and eight cents higher than on this date a year ago.

The Honolulu gas price average stands at $3.53 a gallon for the fourth straight week and prices throughout the islands have also remained remarkably stable this summer, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch.

Gas price declines of up to 12 cents a gallon continued around the islands for the eighth week, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch.

Hawaiʻi gas prices were mixed over the past week with Wailuku, Līhuʻe and Kahului reporting declines from the week before; while Hilo saw an increase and Honolulu’s price was unchanged.

The average price in both Kahului and Wailuku on Maui is $3.98, which is two cents more than last Thursday
