#Maui Cookie Lady

Following the success of its first season, the beloved children’s series “The Peek-a-Bows” is returning for Season 2, premiering on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at 3 p.m. on YouTube. This season brings ‘Alani, Lena, and Poni, the colorful sisters of the rainbow, to life once again, captivating keiki and ‘ohana with storytelling, humor and cultural themes.

A state agency attached to the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) has unleashed nearly $6 million in grants across a wide range of Hawaiʻi businesses and programs, an announcement stated on Wednesday.

The event is the largest manufactured products show in Maui County, and was presented by the Maui Chamber of Commerce. It featured nearly 140 vendors and food trucks from Maui and Molokaʻi offering hundreds of locally made products.

Tickets for the 9th Annual Hawaiian Airlines Made in Maui County Festival, go on sale on Thursday, Oct. 13, on the Maui Arts & Cultural Center website. The festival takes place in-person on Nov. 4 and 5, 2022 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. There will also be a virtual component.

This year the Maui Fire Department is teaming up with the Maui Cookie Lady to collect slippers (flip flops) for Maui schools during the months of September, October and November. 

Mitzi Toro, owner of the Maui Cookie Lady in Makawao, is being honored with the US Small Business Administration’s 2022 woman-owned business of the year award for Maui County at a May 6 ceremony in Honolulu.

Among the winners were: Heidi Watanabe, Feed My Sheep, Mitzi Toro, Angela Leone, and Ryan Ouye.

Maui Cookie Lady owner Mitzi Toro is trying to help Mauiʻs youth by providing a case of slippers for every school on all three islands in Maui County. 

Maui Cookie Lady has been asked to provide her custom cookies for rapper Snoop Dogg, headlining the Dream Weekend concert, Dec. 27 on Oahu.
