The Maui chapter of the Mediocre Golf Association is preparing for its third season of play, inviting golfers of all skill levels to participate in a league that prioritizes camaraderie and humor over professional scores.

Cosmic Drive arrives at Maui Nui Golf Club starting Saturday, Jan. 17, transforming the driving range into a vibrant, interactive nighttime experience. Featuring glow-in-the-dark golf balls, illuminated targets, music and games.

Registration is now open for First Tee – Hawaiʻi’s first programming opportunities of 2026, with youth golf classes offered at four Maui locations.

The Hawaiʻi State Senate is urging PGA officials to find a home for The Sentry in Hawaiʻi after last week’s announcement that the tournament would not hold the event at the Plantation Course at Kapalua in 2026. The decision comes after 27 years on Maui and was attributed to “ongoing drought conditions, water conservation requirements, agronomic conditions and logistical challenges.”

Using the game of golf as the platform, participants learn critical life skills to help them grow socially, emotionally and academically.

Waiehu Municipal Golf Course will adjust locations of play while it aerates greens and collars from Monday, Sept. 8, to Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, according to the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation.

Maui Country Club marked a historic milestone on Sunday, June 8, 2025, as members and guests celebrated the Club’s 100th anniversary. First Tee – Hawaiʻi is looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to serve as positive mentors and role models to kids and teens in the program. These individuals should have a desire to help kids discover what’s inside of them, guide them to strengthen it and mentor them to put it into action in everything they do.

Registration is open for First Tee Hawaiʻi’s first session for programming of 2025. First Tee Hawaiʻi is a youth development organization that helps kids and teens build their strength of character through golf.

The Sentry has announced Nick Dunlap, Austin Eckroat, and Robert MacIntyre have committed to play in the opening event of the 2025 PGA TOUR Regular Season when it returns to The Plantation Course at Kapalua from Jan 2 through Jan. 5.
