Umani Farms Maui nets top prize in MEO Best Business Plan contest

Irish Mahoney’s Umani Farms Maui business plan was judged the top entry and winner of a $15,000 grant in the fourth Best Business Plan contest, staged by Maui Economic Opportunity’s Business Development Center.

Informational sessions for Maui County’s Agricultural Micro Grant Program 4.0 will be held on Oct. 4 at Maui Economic Opportunity and Oct. 11 at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani, helping small farmers and ranchers understand the application process and document requirements.
