The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority is providing $1 million to support 10 major festivals and sports events statewide through the end of the year as part of its Signature Events program. The events align with Hawai‘i’s brand, enrich Hawai‘i’s communities, create opportunities for resident-visitor interaction and attract attendees from beyond Hawai‘i.

For the first time since the Lahaina fires, Cinco de Mayo celebrations are returning to the Front Street area—bringing a sense of joy, culture and community back to West Maui. Lahaina Cannery is proud to partner with Sergio’s Cantina to host a vibrant, all-day Cinco de Mayo celebration on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The “ʻUkulele for Lahaina” Project announces the inaugural Kula ʻUkulele Festival, a special event as part of the Maui Jazz & Blues Festival series dedicated to providing ʻukulele to families who lost their instruments in the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire. The event will feature some of Hawaii’s top ʻukulele masters and will take place on June 22 from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean Organic Farm and Distillery on the slopes of Haleakalā.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua will welcome Brother Noland for a special concert on Friday, March 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. He will headline the resort’s Kapalua Concert Series, taking place at Alaloa Lounge, located in the lobby overlooking Kapalua and Honokahua Bay.

For entertainment this week on Maui, there are performances by the Great American Jazz Piano Competition finalist Jeff Hellmer & Friends, three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner Kevin Brown and Maui Prep actors in Beauty and the Beast, as well as a Winter Craft Fair and the 50th Maui County Senior Fair.

The Shops at Wailea announces Grammy-nominated and Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning singer Josh Tatofi as the concert headliner on Friday, Oct. 28 at 5:30-7 p.m.

“Aloha ‘Ia Nō ‘O Maui”, the second CD produced by UH Maui College’s Institute of Hawaiian Music, has received two nominations for the 2016 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards.
