Proposals sought for Maui Affordable Housing Fund projects

The County of Maui Department of Housing issued a request for proposals seeking affordable housing projects that will be funded by the Affordable Housing Fund in Fiscal Year 2026. The projects must propose housing solutions that provide housing for families earning 140% and below of the County of Maui’s median family income. 

Hawaiʻi gas prices move up slightly

Hawaiʻi gas prices moved up slightly in most areas over the past week, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch. The statewide average price for regular unleaded is $4.60, one cent higher than last week and 18 cents lower than a year ago. The national average gas price is $3.19, two cents lower than last week. 

Costal Flood Statement in effect through Sunday morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Statement, in effect from late Thursday night through Sunday morning. Isolated minor coastal flooding is expected around daily peak tides in vulnerable low-lying coastal areas.
