Coronavirus Monitoring: Honolulu Among 20 Airports in US with CDC Quarantine Station
The department reports that the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu is among 20 airports in the US with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention quarantine station. The state Department of Transportation is working with the CDC and the Hawaiʻi Department of Health in monitoring for the Coronavirus amid the 2019-nCoV outbreak in China.
Large 7.7 Cuba Earthquake
The USGS is reporting a 7.7 preliminary magnitude earthquake in the Cuba region. The quake was reported at 9:10 a.m. HST on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at a depth of six miles. There were no immediate threat alerts posted by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

DOH Warns Sellers of Flavored E-Cigs About FDA Enforcement
Companies have until the end of this month to comply. The Hawai‘i Department of Health is forewarning companies that make, distribute or sell flavored cartridge- or pod-based e-cigarettes to stop or risk enforcement action against them from the FDA.
