A “Kōkua for Lahaina” benefit concert will be held at the Kīhei Charter School on Oct. 21 with a goal to raise at least $7,500 for the Maui Strong Fund.

Imua Discovery Garden hosts an outdoor sculpture exhibit, the largest of its kind in Maui County, aimed at raising crucial funds for the nonprofit organization while fostering a deeper appreciation for outdoor art and bolstering support for the Wailuku Arts District.

The Shops at Wailea welcomes families on Oct. 29 for a “Keiki Halloween” event, featuring a costume contest, trick-or-treating, balloon animals, and character photos.

Diamond Head Theatre presented Mamma Mia! For Maui, during a special, sold-out performance on Wednesday night, in which all ticket sales went to the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund.

Like many of those in Hawaiʻi who watched with heavy hearts the devastation that the wildfires left on Maui, the members of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Wind Ensemble felt a desire to honor those who were lost, those who survived, and those who are working to help the community.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a return to Maui of the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) with six feature films, a program of six short films, and a showcase of four documentaries. All screenings will take place in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater starting Friday, Oct. 27 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 29.

“My Partner” was shot in Lahaina and is believed to be the last production to showcase Lahaina before the destructive Aug. 8, 2023 fire.
