Maui’s Westside Investment Management hosted a client appreciation company Christmas Drive-Through Party on Friday in lieu of its traditional holiday dinner buffet.

There were 105 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Sunday, including 87 on O‘ahu, six on Maui, five on Hawaiʻi Island and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui count today included two each in Kīhei and Wailuku and one case each in Lahaina and Haʻikū.
MACC to Livestream Events Every Saturday Through January 2021
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will livestream events every Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. through Jan. 30, 2021 for its Live @ the MACC series. The series consists of rock, pop, holiday and Hawaiian music concerts, hula and contemporary dance performances and the visual arts.
Hawaiʻi Wildlife Conservation Stamp Contest Opens For Entries
DLNR’s Division of Forestry and Wildlife opened its annual wildlife conservation stamp contest depicting game mammals and birds for the 2021-22 hunting stamp. The stamp is a requirement on Hawai’i state hunting licenses. The game bird stamp is required for anyone intending to hunt game birds.

Three Maui Elementary Schools Connected to Positive COVID Case Involving HIDOE Employee
The Hawai‘i State Department of Education reports that it was made aware of a COVID-19 case involving an employee who visited three Maui campuses — Pu‘u Kukui, Pōmaika‘i and Kula Elementary schools — between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. At each school, the individual’s interaction with students and staff was limited to one classroom.

DOH Revises Hawaiʻi Exposure Quarantine Guidance Based on CDC Recommendations
The Hawai‘i Department of Health announced that effective today it is reducing the required quarantine period of those who have been exposed to COVID-19 from 14 days to 10 days to “improve compliance without significantly increasing the risk of transmission in the community.” The new quarantine guidance does not modify any travel quarantine provided for in the governor’s proclamations related to the COVID-19 emergency.

Maui to Become First in State to Rollout AlohaSafe Alert App
Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino announced today that the AlohaSafe Alert application that has undergone pilot testing on Lānaʻi and Hāna has been approved for full rollout in Maui County, making Maui County the first County in the State to utilize this resource to assist in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
