How to Apply for a Travel Exemption for Maui County
Effective Tuesday, Aug. 11, all travelers arriving in a Maui County port or airport must follow the state’s mandatory 14-day quarantine. The quarantine includes travel between Maui to Hawaiʻi Island or Kauaʻi, as well as travel to and from Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.

Hawai‘i has recorded another triple-digit day for new COVID-19 cases in the state. The state Department of Health is reporting 152 newly diagnosed positive cases of COVID-19 today, with 147 on O‘ahu, three on Hawai‘i Island and one each on Maui and Kauaʻi.
Maui Lane Closures in Lahaina, Wailuku and Kula This Week
The state Department of Transportation is conducting road work that will result in lane closures this week on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Lahaina, Kaʻahumanu Avenue in Wailuku and Haleakalā Highway in Kula.

The state Department of Health is reporting 231 newly diagnosed positive cases of COVID-19 today, with 223 on O‘ahu, five on Hawai‘i Island and three on Maui. Today, the Health Department also reports the death of an O‘ahu man, older than 60, who passed away yesterday.

Doctors On Call, Maui’s Urgent Care clinic, reopens on August 10. Located at Times Shopping Plaza in Lahaina, the clinic will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is needed and walk-ins are accepted. New primary care patients are also welcome.
Interisland Travel Quarantine Guidance for Maui County
Maui County residents are reminded that the Governor has reinstituted the mandatory 14-day quarantine for any travel other than arrival on Oʻahu. The quarantine includes travel from Maui to Hawaiʻi Island or Kauaʻi, as well as travel to and from Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.
UPDATE: First COVID-19 Positive Inmate in Hawai‘i, Four Staff at Other Facilities Test Positive
A new inmate housed at the Oʻahu Community Correctional Center tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the first confirmed inmate case within the Hawaiʻi Department of Public Safety. In unrelated cases, one adult correctional officer at the Hālawa Correctional Facility and two ACOs at the Waiawa Correctional Facility have tested positive for COVID-19.
