The Hawaiʻi Department of Health is alerting residents of a recall issued by Meadow Gold Dairy for half-pint sized chocolate milk marked with an Oct. 16, 2025, expiration date. The chocolate milk, made and packaged out of state, is being voluntarily recalled due to potential quality control issues.

Rat lungworm disease detected on Kauaʻi
The Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed a case of neuroangiostrongyliasis, or rat lungworm disease, in an adult on the island of Kaua‘i. Rat lungworm disease is known to be endemic in all islands of the state of Hawai‘i. This individual had no history of travel to other neighbor islands, or outside the state or country.
