Open to FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge, FIRST Lego League Challenge, and FIRST Lego League Explore teams, the program offers grants ranging from $500 to $3,000 per team to inspire and nurture students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math.

The intersection of Pūlehu Road and Hansen Road will be converted to an all-way stop, with stop signs posted at all four entry points, effective on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. Once the stop signs are installed, all motorists will be required to stop before proceeding through the intersection. 

A water quality exceedance of enterococci was recorded at Cove Park, Maui, resulting in an advisory from the State Department of Health, Clean Water Branch.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 22, the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will accept applications for its intermediate basketball league. Applications will be taken through Sept. 2.
