The Mamoru & Aiko Takitani Foundation (Takitani Foundation) seeks high school seniors and schools to apply for its 2022 scholarship program.  More than $200,000 is anticipated to be awarded statewide.

Hawaiʻi schools to receive $2 M to help provide school meals, keep kids healthy

US Senator Brian Schatz (D- Hawaiʻi) announced that schools in Hawai‘i will receive an estimated $2,340,000 in increased funding from the US Department of Agriculture to help cover the costs of school meal programs.

Bissen announced his mayoral bid via news release today, saying that he is looking forward to collaborating with residents and will use “intelligence and heart” to improve Maui County.

These unrestricted funds will support MFSS’s Maui County Early Childhood Resource Center to help at least 25 families with up to $200 per month in subsidy for summer child care tuition in a time of need that can alleviate stress and worry for parents and enable them to continue stable, nurturing care for their children, thereby reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect.

Graham resigns as UH head football coach
