Maui police charged a man with first degree attempted murder in connection with a shooting reported early Monday morning in Wailuku. Nathaniel Cachola, 19, of Kahului was charged on Tuesday, March 26, with bail set at $500,000, according to police reports.

Maui police made two arrests and launched an investigation after a woman suffered a gunshot wound during an encounter at a Wailuku park early Monday morning.

Maui police have launched a second degree attempted murder investigation following a stabbing reported in Olowalu on Wednesday night, Dec. 6, 2017.

The investigation stems from an attempted vehicle theft in which a resident observed an unknown man attempting to start up a motorcycle belonging to a neighbor.

Henriksen was charged with the offense of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and his bail was set at $50,000.

One man was transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center for wounds sustained in a stabbing incident early Sunday morning in Kahului.

The suspect was identified as Justin Shepherd, 33, with no local address. He was being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.

The charges stem from a Jan. 18, 2016 incident in which Santos is accused of breaking into a home, knocking a 29-year-old Wailuku man to the ground and using a weapon to stab the man multiple times, according to Maui police.

Taliah Nelson, 32, of Wailuku, has been charged with allegations of second degree murder and she was being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.

The suspect was waiting in line at the drive thru when the officer immediately exited his patrol vehicle and attempted to conduct a felony stop.

Maui police have since arrested and charged Robert Kimo Prout, 49, for alleged connection to a stabbing reported on Sunday afternoon at Waipuʻilani Park in Kīhei.

A car theft suspect has since been formally charged for allegations of first degree attempted murder after a police chase in South Maui on Tuesday, in which one officer reportedly sustained minor injuries.

A Haʻikū man was arrested following a grand jury indictment for second degree attempted murder in the alleged stabbing of his wife in August.

A 26-year-old Lahaina man is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail after being charged in the alleged stabbing of a 64-year-old Lahaina woman on Saturday.
