Gov. Green releases $10.3M in CIP funds for Maui County
Funds include: $5.83M for Baldwin High School athletic facility improvements; $3.026M to improve aging athletic facilities at Molokaʻi High School; $1M for campus fencing and gates at Haʻikū Elementary; and $500,000 to finance design to determine gym improvements for Lānaʻi High and Elementary School.
County of Maui successfully issues $60.87M in GO Bonds at average interest rate of 2.85%
The County of Maui has successfully issued $60.87 million in General Obligation Bonds, Series 2022, at an average interest rate of 2.85%, Mayor Michael Victorino announced.
Kahului Airport and Maui school improvement funds included in $163M in CIP release
Baldwin High School, Maui Waena Intermediate, and Waiheʻe and Wailuku Elementary schools are included on the list of places where CIP project funding was distributed in recent months. There’s also funds for Kahului Airport runway resurfacing and improvements and roadway improvements at the Consolidated Rental Car Facility.
Wailuku and Makawao libraries, and Hawaiian Home Development on Molokaʻi included in CIPs
Specific Maui County projects in the April CIP release include: $200,000 for the Wailuku Public Library, $10,000 for the Makawao Public Library; and $1,150,000 for a Hawaiian Home Lands Lot development on Molokaʻi.

Governor David Ige announced the release of $364,445,224 for Capital Improvement Projects that will be administered by various state departments. These funds were released in November and December of 2021, and January of 2022.
