The Coast Guard medevaced an ailing man from a fishing vessel 8 miles northeast of Honokaʻa, Hawaiʻi, Monday.
Worker injured in fall from roof, medevaced from Midway Atoll
The US Coast Guard completed the medevac of a 52-year-old man from Midway Atoll Thursday. Coast Guard Joint Rescue Coordination Center Honolulu watchstanders received notification from US Fish and Wildlife personnel at 10 a.m. Tuesday that a contractor fell from a roof and injured his ankle.

Coast Guard, good Samaritans rescue three people in distress from ocean near Honolulu airport
The Coast Guard and good Samaritans rescued three men from the water approximately 2 miles south of the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu Monday. Two passengers aboard the French-flagged Spirit of Pontapreta, a 42-foot sailing vessel, had reportedly been swept away while swimming near the vessel. The vessel’s operator jumped in to assist them but was also swept away.

Grounded yacht at Honolua leaked fuel, damaged coral; Removal could take days
The US Coast Guard federalized the vessel on Tuesday, which means the yacht cannot be moved until all fuel, batteries, and any other pollutants on board are removed. That process may involve a helicopter and is expected to take at least through Wednesday, according to a DLNR news release.
