Spectra Fest—a movement that brings together artists, musicians, filmmakers, educators, and local businesses to inspire creativity, foster economic growth, and strengthen community connections—takes place June 9-13 in support of the community of Lahaina, Maui. The event includes Lahaina Intermediate School murals with Hawaii Walls, educational workshops for the community by CreativeMornings, a free film screening by HIFF, an urban makers market by Art + Flea, live music curated by TheBrewz and more.

Maui United Way launched its “Do more good” Campaign during its recent 75th Anniversary Virtual Pau Hana. Maui Nui Ohana are asked to provide support to Maui United Way, any local non-profit or even a neighbor.

The nonprofit Maui Tomorrow organization is urging the Maui County Council to defer a vote on adopting a plan by the Maui Island Water Use and Development Plan to drill wells in the Haʻikū aquifer.
