A male hiker was airlifted from Twin Falls in Hoʻolawa Valley after falling and suffering an ankle injury. The incident occurred at 12:23 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026 at one of the ponds above the falls.

A 62-year-old visitor was airlifted to safety after suffering injuries in a fall while hiking on the Pipiwai Trail in the Kīpahulu area of East Maui on Friday afternoon.

A 50-year-old Kahului woman who became lost while hiking was airlifted from the Makawao Forest Reserve on Tuesday afternoon.
