#school closures

Public schools in Hāna, Lahaina and Kihei will be closed to students and staff today, Friday, Jan. 10, due to power outages and unsafe road conditions caused by weather impacts. This includes: Hāna High & Elementary; Kamali‘i Elementary ; Kīhei Elementary; Lokelani Intermediate; Kūlanihāko‘i High; King Kamehameha III Elementary; Princess Nāhi‘ena‘ena Elementary; Lahaina Intermediate; and Lahainaluna High.

All Hawaiʻi Department of Education public schools and offices are scheduled to be open today, Tuesday, Dec. 7, with the exception of three Oʻahu schools.

This is an ongoing list of traffic advisories, school updates, power outage updates and island business closures and cancellations.

All public schools and Hawaiʻi State Department of Education offices will be open today, Thursday, Sept. 13 except for Kilohana Elementary in Kaunakakai on Molokaʻi.

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education’s (HIDOE) school administrators and facilities teams are working in conjunction with federal, state and county emergency management personnel over the weekend to prepare most schools to open on Monday, Aug. 27.  However, due to damage from the storm and brush fires, the following Maui campuses will be closed for […]

Due to the heavy rains and inclement weather, there are several closures in effect for Maui County today.
