The Maui County Planning Department will host an open house for the release of the first draft of the updated South Maui Community Plan on from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Kīhei Community Center.

The panel will explore the issue of housing in South Maui as part of the South Maui Community Plan update. Panelists will address homelessness, affordable and attainable housing, and potential innovative solutions to housing issues, including smart growth and transit-oriented development.
Virtual Climate Change Town Hall for South Maui Scheduled for June 3
The Maui County Planning Department will hold a virtual climate change “town hall” meeting from 4:30 to 6 pm on Thursday, June 3, via live stream on the department’s We Are South Maui Facebook page.
Youth Submissions Sought for Dream Big for South Maui Project
The County of Maui Department of Planning is seeking submissions from youth aged 18 years or younger for the Dream Big for South Maui project.
Next Phase of Vision Workshops Announced for South Maui
The South Maui community is encouraged to participate in this online workshop to help shape what South Maui will look and feel like in 20 years by reviewing four draft visions based on public input received during the first phase of vision workshops held in January.
