$800,000 Released for Maui Hospital Air Conditioning Replacement

Authorities say the existing air conditioning system has become prone to mechanical breakdowns and needs to be replaced. The funds will be directed toward care rooms in the East, South and West Wings, electrical rooms, and the pharmacy and laundry areas.

The suit stems from an incident reported in October of 2013 in which pastor and his wife were distributing religious materials to the public on a sidewalk outside of the Maui Fair.

The US Postal Service will open its first Village Post Office in the state this week at Hanzawa’s Variety Store in Haʻikū on the island of Maui.
