Maui police responded to 11 burglaries, 20 vehicle thefts and 20 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3, 2018.

Maui police responded to 12 burglaries, 10 vehicle thefts and 23 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Oct. 21-27, 2018.

The Maui Police Department responded to 11 burglaries, nine vehicle thefts and 18 vehicle break-ins over the seven-day period between Oct. 7 and 13.

Big Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown male in connection with a sexual assault reported to have occurred at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo campus last night, October 4, 2018.

A man accused of murdering his estranged wife at a Wailuku supermarket entered a change in plea on Wednesday afternoon to no contest for a reduced charge of second degree murder and other charges in connection with the case, according to court documents.

An attempted kidnapping investigation is underway after a Maui student reported being approached by an unknown man who tried to entice him into leaving school.

Police say 24-year-old Kaleo Kubo of Waiheʻe was later apprehended in the area of Nākālele Point and was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail at last report.

Photographs and an informational poster depicting the unknown individual, known only as John Doe 40, are being circulated nationwide. His location is unknown.

Keoni Kuhaulua, 38, of Wailuku, was charged with the two counts of Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle, and one count of Resisting an Order to Stop Motor Vehicle.
