Live Like Tre’ Foundation to provide a total of $150K to Maui firefighters impacted by wildfires
The Live Like Tre’ Foundation received a $150,000 donation from the Maui Strong Fund of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, and will use the funds to provide grants in the amount of $7,100 each to support Maui firefighters who have been personally affected by the recent wildfires.
PacWhale Eco-Adventures hosts free “For Da Keiki” event, Sept. 9
PacWhale Eco-Adventures hosts a FREE “For Da Keiki” event this Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization says the event is part of its dedication to supporting the Maui community post wildfires. Downtown Athletic Club of Hawaiʻi announces Luna Strong fundraising campaign
The Downtown Athletic Club of Hawaiʻi has launched a “Luna Strong” fundraising campaign to assist the Lahainaluna student athletes and coaches who were displaced by last monthʻs fire. The fund was created through a request from the school’s athletic program, and has already collected $325,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to kick off the campaign.
Bistro Casanova pledges profits to Maui Strong in support of Lahaina fire recovery
Bistro Casanova in Kahului is pledging 100% of its profits until Dec. 31, 2023 to Maui Strong, to support recovery in the wake of the Lahaina fires.

Jack Johnson’s Songs for Maui – Live Benefit Album out Sept. 15; performance Sept. 18
In support of those affected by the tragic and life-altering fires on Maui, Jack Johnson announces Songs For Maui, a live benefit album featuring Hawaii’s own Paula Fuga and John Cruz. The album is digitally available on Sept. 15. On Sept. 18, Johnson and his band will perform an intimate benefit concert at The Republik in Honolulu, along with special guests Paula Fuga and John Cruz. All proceeds from the Songs For Maui album and The Republik show will benefit fire relief efforts and help provide ongoing support for Maui. Tickets go on sale Sept. 8.
Maui wildfire recovery: Resources and updates for Sept. 6
There are 115 confirmed fatalities with 55 individuals now identified publicly following notification of next of kin. EPA has completed work in Kula and has completed removal of hazardous material at 268 properties in total, which is roughly 15% of the total number of properties.
The Salvation Army has prepared 55,303 meals and coordinated a total of 352,597 meals through local and nonprofit partnerships at 39 feeding locations during the initial phase of the relief effort, now transitioned from shelters to local hotels.
