The Fairmont Kea Lani’s 32nd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1 will kick off the resortʻs 10th annual Tree of Hope Campaign, benefiting the Maui Food Bank’s Aloha Backpack Buddies Program.

Santa Claus ignites holiday excitement at The Shops at Wailea with a vibrant parade, memorable photo ops, and a musical extravaganza headlined by Grammy Award-winner Kalani Peʻa, reinforcing the Maui shopping center as a festive destination.

This week on Maui, the band Kanekoa is performing at a benefit concert for Maui wildfire victims, the free annual Jimi Hendrix tribute takes place in Pāʻia and for the observance of World AIDS Day there is “Music For Hope” at the ʻĪao Theatre. Find our comprehensive listing HERE.

More than 300 artworks will be displayed during Art Maui’s first 12”x12” small artworks show called: “One Foot Forward: Selections from Maui County Artists.”

Logan Kalawaia, Ta’aroa Nui Halau and Nā ‘Ohu will perform, along with roaming Christmas carolers and free ʻukulele lessons with Uncle Arlie at the holiday celebration at Maui Ocean Center.

The Maui AIDS Foundation will host “World AIDS Day – A Concert of Hope,” featuring performances by Eric Gilliom, Vince Esquire, and Anthony Pfluke on Dec. 1 at the Historic Iao Theater.

Maui Mall Village will host a series of events throughout the holiday season, with opportunities to take free selfies with Santa, participate in a special community food drive, enjoy live entertainment and jump-start holiday shopping.

Kīhei 4th Friday is back Nov. 24 with the Black Friday Block Party event, featuring free entertainment provided by Maui’s own N8Vz and Shane Kahalehau and Ho’aka.

Seabury Hall has rescheduled its annual Seabury Hall-iday event to Tuesday, Dec. 5, due to the kona low storm forecasted to impact Maui on Thursday. Event hours are still 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It was originally scheduled for Dec. 1, but was postponed due to the inclement weather forecast.

Imua Family Services welcomes Maui’s children and their families to its third annual Keiki Holiday Festival on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Will Smith Imua Discovery Garden in Wailuku.

Holiday cheer is on its way to Kapalua. All are invited to experience the magic of the festive season as The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua hosts its Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  

The talented young musicians of Suzuki Maui and Haleakalā Waldorf School join seasoned artists in the 21st Annual Suzuki Maui Christmas holiday concert on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at Makawao Union Church.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Jake Shimabukuro & Mac McAnally, Celebrating Songs & Stories on Distant Shores at the MACC on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2024. This performance is in the MACC’s Castle Theater starting at 7:30 p.m.

The annual Hui Holidays shopping event at Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center, featuring over 100 local artists and vendors, will offer a unique array of Maui-made gifts from Nov. 17 to Dec. 23.

The Queen Kaʻahumanu Center hosts Kamaʻāina Nights tonight (Friday, Nov. 17), featuring Piʻilani Arias, and the Keiki Club with Kumu Luana Kawaʻa on Saturday morning, Nov. 18. 

Today, four-time GRAMMY Award Winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, The Doobie Brothers, have released a new single “Lahaina” along with a music video to provide aid and support to Maui following the August 2023 wildfire disaster.

For entertainment this week on Maui, there are performances by the Great American Jazz Piano Competition finalist Jeff Hellmer & Friends, three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner Kevin Brown and Maui Prep actors in Beauty and the Beast, as well as a Winter Craft Fair and the 50th Maui County Senior Fair.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua is pleased to welcome country singer-songwriters Kylie Morgan and Jay Allen to the resort for a special Thanksgiving concert. They will perform a free concert in the resort’s Alaloa Lounge, located in the lobby overlooking Kapalua and Honokahua Bay. Donations will be accepted to support the Maui community post-wildfires.  

Liam Moleta of Oʻahu earned this year’s title for his performance of “Aloha Nō Kahului.” Also competing were Tevita Lisiate Apina-Pacheco from Waiʻanae, O‘ahu, Antonio Robles of Wailuku, Maui, and Via Tiumalu Jr from Kīhei, Maui.
